~ Multiple Arrests Made in Narcotics Investigation
Earlier this month, a series of search warrants were served as part of a narcotics investigation, resulting in the arrest of three individuals. Griselda Resendiz, Juan Carlos Marquez Nevarrez, and Rafael Carranza are facing state and/or federal drug charges after investigators seized a significant amount of illegal substances and other evidence.
On December 4, 2025, law enforcement officials executed multiple search warrants at various locations. One warrant was served at a residence in the 200 block of Water Avenue, where Juan Carlos Marquez-Nevarez was detained without incident. During the search, investigators discovered 4 pounds of methamphetamine and a stolen 9 mm pistol. They also seized $3637 in cash believed to be earnings from selling methamphetamine.
As a result, Marquez-Nevarez was arrested for Drug Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of Stolen Property. The second warrant was served at a residence in the 1100 block of Mojave Street. Billi Carranza was present at the time and was detained without incident. Meanwhile, Raphael Carranza was detained during a traffic stop before the warrant was served.

During the search, authorities found small amounts of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a .40 caliber handgun belonging to Rafael who is prohibited from possessing firearms due to his previous felony conviction. They also seized $3156 believed to be earnings from selling illegal substances.
Rafael Carranza was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana while Billi Carranza received citations for Frequenting a Place Where Controlled Substances are Used, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Misdemeanor Injury to a Child due to the presence of children in the residence.
The third search warrant was served at a residence in the 2100 block of South St. Clair Road, where Griselda Resendiz was detained without incident. During the search, investigators found a significant amount of illegal substances including 7.85 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.2 pounds of fentanyl, and 6 ounces of cocaine. They also discovered small amounts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

In addition, a storage unit utilized by Resendiz was also searched, resulting in the seizure of a pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Resendiz was arrested on a federal warrant for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and is expected to face additional charges related to the illicit substances found in her possession during the execution of the search warrant.
This investigation and the subsequent search warrants were conducted with the assistance of multiple agencies including the Teton County Sheriff's Office, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, Idaho State Police, US Marshall's Service, and Homeland Security Investigations.
The arrests made during this operation serve as a reminder that law enforcement agencies are committed to cracking down on illegal drug activity in our communities.
