IDAHO FALLS ~ Idaho Falls Fire Department is gearing up to host its annual Fire Prevention Block Party on Monday, September 29, 2025. The event, which will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Station 1 on 343 E St., aims to kick off Fire Prevention Week and promote fire safety within the community.
The free and family-friendly block party will feature a variety of activities, including fire engine tours, face painting, and kids' training challenges. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about fire prevention tips and education through live sponsor demonstrations.

This year's theme, "Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home," will be highlighted throughout the evening. The Idaho Falls Fire Department hopes that by raising awareness about this important topic, residents can reduce the risk of emergencies in their homes.
In addition to the fun and educational activities, there will also be free food provided by the Community Food Basket. Attendees can also take photos with Sparky the Fire Dog, a beloved mascot of the department.
