Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - The Office of the Governor has released a new report today detailing the success of Idaho LAUNCH in meeting President Donald Trump's Talent Strategy for America. The report, which can be found at https://gov.idaho.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/1..., highlights the program's alignment with the five pillars of President Trump's vision for the American worker.

Governor Brad Little expressed his pride in Idaho LAUNCH and its recognition by the Trump administration. "The Trump administration's acknowledgement of Idaho LAUNCH this year was a defining moment," Governor Little stated. "Idaho LAUNCH perfectly embodies President Trump's vision for the American worker and our state is leading the nation in preparing our young people for successful careers in a rapidly evolving workforce."

U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Chavez-DeRemer also praised Idaho LAUNCH during a recent visit to the state, stating that it is a powerful example of what can be achieved when state leaders, employers, and educators work together to invest in the American workforce. "Preparing the next generation of American workers is my top priority," Secretary Chavez-DeRemer said. "Governor Little's bold leadership is keeping Idaho's workforce competitive."

At a proclamation signing ceremony earlier this year, Governor Little highlighted the remarkable success of LAUNCH in its first year. The program has seen a 9% increase in enrollment across all institutions, with an impressive 25% increase in enrollment in Magic Valley alone. Community college enrollment has surged by 18%, while there has been a 15% increase in the number of career technical students. Additionally, there has been a 15% increase in the number of economically disadvantaged students pursuing higher education, an 8% increase in dual credit enrollment, and a 16% increase in Hispanic students pursuing higher education. Most notably, there has been a staggering 19% increase in students with less than a 2.7 GPA going on to pursue rewarding and in-demand professions.

President Trump himself issued a similar proclamation earlier this year, reaffirming his commitment to investing in the best training and retraining opportunities for American workers. "We believe in excellence by putting America first," President Trump stated. "Investing in our workforce will result in a stronger economy for all."
