IDAHO FALLS ~ Idaho Falls Fire Department and Idaho Falls Firefighters IAFF Local 1565 have expressed their gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support during the Fill the Ambulance Toy Drive. The drive, which aimed to collect new, unwrapped toys for local children and families in need, was a huge success thanks to the generosity of residents.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Idaho and families facing medical or financial hardship were the beneficiaries of this year's toy drive. The RMHC reported that they now have enough toys to support families through 2026, while the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission was able to fulfill wish lists for every child they serve.
Deborah M. Chessey, Development and Community Manager for RMHC of Idaho, expressed her gratitude towards the Idaho Falls Fire Department for their help in making this year's toy drive a success. She also mentioned that thanks to the community's support, they now have enough toys to last them through 2026.

The success of the toy drive would not have been possible without the efforts of the firefighters who volunteered their time, local businesses that collected donations and offered incentives, media partners who shared information about the drive, and organizations that provided valuable time or financial support. Each one played a crucial role in ensuring that the community's generosity reached those who needed it most.
The Fill the Ambulance Toy Drive concluded on December 13th alongside RMHC's 5th Annual Toy Drive Light Parade and Ugly Sweater Car Show. The event received tremendous support from partners throughout the region, including a special flyover from Air Idaho Rescue.
Above all, IFFD and IAFF Local 1565 extend their heartfelt thanks to all community members who showed up, donated, and helped make a difference. Their willingness to give is what ultimately made this year's Fill the Ambulance Toy Drive a great success.
