Former volunteer claims leadership at Sun City Church in Post Falls used legal threats and spiritual manipulation to silence reports of staff misconduct involving minors.
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - IdaStar -- A former volunteer at Sun City Church is breaking their silence about what they describe as a pattern of spiritual abuse, leadership misconduct, and deliberate silencing of minors through legal intimidation.
The volunteer, who asked to remain anonymous for safety reasons, alleges that after reporting multiple instances of staff misconduct to church leadership including open profanity during youth events and an inappropriate photo involving a church leader they were removed from their volunteer position without explanation.

When the teen attempted to follow biblical accountability procedures by raising concerns with Lead Pastor Danny, the church responded with legal threats designed to ensure silence, according to the whistleblower.
Most disturbing: the teen claims leadership told them they "had satan in them" for questioning the church's authority a manipulation tactic experts recognize as classic spiritual abuse.
"This isn't about one mistake," the whistleblower told us. "This is a pattern of leadership protecting themselves and silencing anyone who speaks up."
The teen says multiple witnesses are prepared to corroborate their account. Sun City Church leadership has not yet responded to requests for comment.
This story is still developing.
