IDAHO FALLS ~ On Thursday, June 5, the Idaho Falls Hazmat Regional Response Team 7 will be conducting a mock hazardous materials response at Grand Teton Mall. The team will be utilizing emergency vehicles, including hazmat trucks, fire engines, and ambulances, in the area from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. This exercise is part of their ongoing training to prepare for real-world hazardous materials incidents.
The purpose of the full-scale drill is to allow responders to practice coordination, communication, and response protocols in a realistic but controlled setting. While there is no danger to the public and no need to avoid the general area, it is advised that individuals steer clear of personnel and equipment to ensure safety and allow the team to train without disruption.
