IDAHO FALLS ~ Idaho's oldest rodeo, the War Bonnet Round Up, is gearing up for its annual event and is now searching for talented singers to perform the national anthem. The rodeo, which will take place from July 30 to August 2 at Sandy Downs in Idaho Falls, is accepting video auditions from interested performers.
According to Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation Director PJ Holm, the national anthem holds a special significance at the War Bonnet Round Up. "We want to showcase the incredible vocal talent eastern Idaho has to offer and honor our country in the most meaningful way possible," said Holm.
Singers of all ages are encouraged to audition by submitting a video of themselves singing the national anthem to [email address] no later than Monday, June 30, 2025. The selected performers will have the opportunity to sing before a packed arena and will also receive a VIP experience for themselves and three guests on the night of their performance.

In addition to showcasing local talent, the War Bonnet Round Up will also feature world-class competitors from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Attendees can expect a full slate of rodeo events including bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc, bareback, steer wrestling, tie down, team roping and women's breakaway roping.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale at www.warbonnetroundup.org with prices starting at $22 for Thursday and $27 for Friday and Saturday. Children ages 3 through 10 can attend for $10 per night. These ticket prices also include parking.
To kick off the rodeo festivities, there will be a free Rodeo Kick-Off Party on Wednesday, July 30 from 4-8pm at Sandy Downs. This family-friendly event will feature food, drinks, activities, music and even mutton bustin'. Attendees can also catch some professional breakaway roping in the arena, making it the perfect event for all ages.
