Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - After a successful legislative session, the Idaho Legislature has officially adjourned "sine die" today. Governor Brad Little expressed his gratitude towards his legislative partners for their collaboration in advancing his "KEEPING PROMISES" plan.
The Governor's plan, which focused on education investments, tax relief, and infrastructure improvements, was approved by the Idaho Legislature with an impressive 95% success rate.
In a statement, Governor Little acknowledged that other states are looking to Idaho as an example of what they want to achieve - safe communities, a thriving economy, increasing incomes, tax relief, fewer regulations, fiscal responsibility, and common sense values. He thanked his partners in the legislature for their hard work and dedication to serving the people of Idaho.
Among the highlights of the 2025 legislative session were continued investments in public schools. The Legislature delivered on Governor Little's KEEPING PROMISES plan by providing additional funding for rural school facilities, increased teacher pay, and literacy programs.

Idaho is already a leader in education freedom and the Legislature furthered this by allocating $50 million to expand school choice options.
Tax relief was also a top priority for Governor Little and the Idaho Legislature. In addition to the $4.6 billion in tax cuts that have been delivered to Idahoans over the past six years, they put more than $400 million back into citizens' wallets through income tax relief, property tax relief, and grocery tax relief.
Support for American workers was another focus of this legislative session. The full funding for LAUNCH program was approved to continue its success. Additionally, $10 million was allocated to create hundreds of additional seats at community and technical colleges as per the Governor's request for Career and Technical Education funding.
Ensuring safe communities was also addressed by following through on Governor Little's proposal to add a new prosecutor in North Idaho dedicated solely to putting away drug traffickers. The successful fentanyl awareness campaign was also funded for another year.

With Idaho experiencing rapid population growth, infrastructure improvements were necessary to keep up. Governor Little's KEEPING PROMISES plan included funding for over a billion dollars in transportation projects through bonding and direct appropriations, which was approved by the Legislature.
Water and fire were also key issues addressed during this legislative session. The Governor's plan for $30 million in ongoing funds for water infrastructure projects, proven to increase water levels in the aquifer and protect Idaho agriculture, was approved. However, the Legislature fell short on committing ongoing funding for fire suppression, which is crucial in preventing and responding to wildfires quickly and aggressively.
Governor Little has been vocal about the need for reforms in child welfare and the Legislature delivered on his KEEPING PROMISES plan by allocating an additional $9.6 million to support prevention and transformation efforts in Idaho's foster care system.
