Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - The passing of former District 33 Representative Linden Bateman from Idaho Falls has left a deep impact on the state. Governor Brad Little expressed his condolences and shared his thoughts on Bateman's legacy in a statement released today.
Bateman, who served in the Idaho Legislature for a total of fifteen years, was known for his integrity, humility, and commitment to the people he represented. He first served from 1977 to 1986 and then again from 2010 to 2016.

Governor Little described Bateman as a close friend and a true statesman. He praised Bateman's passion for Idaho history and his instrumental role in establishing March 4 as Idaho Day. According to the governor, Bateman was a thoughtful listener, principled leader, and always strived to do what was right.
Beyond his service in politics, Bateman was also known as a trusted friend and respected by all who knew him. Governor Little believes that Idaho is better because of Bateman's work and that his legacy of character and public service will never be forgotten.
