Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - In a show of respect and mourning, Governor Brad Little has issued an order for all U.S. and State of Idaho flags to be lowered to half-staff. This decision comes after the tragic ambush attack that claimed the lives of several firefighters in North Idaho.
According to Idaho law, the flags will remain at half-staff until the day following the memorial service for the fallen firefighters. Governor Little expressed his deep sorrow and condolences for the victims and their families, stating that the entire state is grieving this profound loss.
"Our public safety officers, especially our firefighters, face danger every day in their line of duty. However, we have never seen such a heinous act of violence against our firefighters before. This is not what Idaho stands for," Governor Little said in a statement.
