IDAHO FALLS ~ Idaho Falls will see some roadwork beginning on Monday, June 23 as crews start microsurfacing work on various roads in the city. The project is expected to be completed by July.
Microsurfacing is a preventative maintenance treatment that helps extend the lifespan of road surfaces. This work will be carried out in different neighborhoods each day, including John Adams Parkway, Caysie Circle and Lane, Country Road, Hallon Street, Plommon Street, Sviskon Way, Kelly Drive, Saddle Court, Ironwood Drive, Lowell Drive, Paron Lane, Genevieve Way, Newman Drive, Druvor Street, Bluebird Lane, Pioneer Drive (near the Event Center), Granite Drive, Applen Circle and Kortnee Drive and Burlwood Drive.

While there are no long-term road closures expected during this project, some temporary lane closures and short-duration road closures will occur while the treatment is being applied. These closures are estimated to last only a few hours at each location. On-street parking in the areas where microsurfacing will take place will also be closed during construction.
Drivers are advised to plan for short delays and follow posted signage while using caution near construction crews and equipment. This project is part of a larger effort to preserve and maintain the condition of roadways in Idaho Falls while minimizing the need for major reconstruction in the future.
The city would like to thank residents for their patience as they work towards maintaining and improving streets across Idaho Falls.
