IDAHO FALLS ~ Idaho Falls has announced that Deputy Chief Paul Radford will be taking on the role of Interim Fire Chief while the city conducts a search for a permanent chief. This decision was made by Mayor Rebecca Casper, who expressed her confidence in Radford's abilities and qualifications for the position.
According to Mayor Casper, Radford's extensive experience and dedication to his role as deputy chief make him well-suited to lead the department during this transition. She also commended his efforts to improve communication and support among the fire stations through regular site visits.
Radford has been a member of the Idaho Falls Fire Department for over 20 years, serving in various leadership roles in both administration and operations. As deputy chief, he has been heavily involved in planning, training, and coordinating department-wide initiatives, as well as supporting professional development for staff.
