Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - Governor Brad Little has issued a directive to lower U.S. and State of Idaho flags to half-staff in honor of Isabella Oscarson, a member of the Idaho Department of Lands fire crew who tragically lost her life while on duty. The flags will remain at half-staff until the day following Oscarson's memorial service, as per Idaho law.
The entire state is mourning the loss of Isabella Oscarson, a young and promising wildland firefighter who dedicated her life to serving the people of Idaho. Her untimely death has deeply affected not only the firefighting community but also those beyond it. Governor Little and his wife Teresa are asking for prayers for Oscarson's loved ones and her colleagues at the Idaho Department of Lands.
