Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - The State of Idaho has released its final report on postsecondary enrollment and go-on numbers for the fall of 2024. The data, which was compiled by the State Board of Education, shows a significant increase in enrollment and success rates after the first year of LAUNCH - Idaho's innovative workforce training program.
According to the full research report, which can be found at this link: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/7b59f0140f..., the anticipated enrollment trends announced earlier have been confirmed and surpassed. This is a clear indication that the workforce training landscape in Idaho is booming even more than expected.
Governor Little expressed his satisfaction with the results, stating that without Idaho LAUNCH, these increases in workforce training enrollment would not have been possible. He also referenced President Trump's call for new and effective job training approaches and praised LAUNCH as the program that is best achieving this goal. The numbers and research from the first year of Idaho LAUNCH are proof of its unique success.
The research highlights several standout statistics, including an 18% increase in community college enrollment and an overall 11% increase in student enrollment. Most notably, there has been a 19% increase in students with a GPA of 2.7 or less going on to pursue higher education or trade programs. This shows that LAUNCH is reaching students who may have never considered these opportunities before.
