IDAHO FALLS ~ Idaho Falls is buzzing with excitement as the City announces the next phase of renovations at the Frontier Center for the Performing Arts. The project, set to begin on April 7, will involve construction staging and site preparation, including the installation of a temporary fence for safety and security.
The renovation is part of ongoing efforts to modernize the facility and will bring about significant improvements. The lobby will be tripled in size, pick-up and drop-off areas will be enhanced, and essential ADA upgrades such as accessible restrooms and a ramp for easier access will be included. These upgrades are aimed at enhancing the overall experience for guests and ensuring that the Frontier Center remains a vital cultural hub for the community.
Mayor Rebecca Casper expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating that while it may require some patience and creative workarounds in the coming months, it will greatly enhance the overall experience of attending events at the Frontier Center. She also highlighted that these improvements will remove any obstacles such as stairs or crowded lobbies that may have previously hindered individuals from enjoying the wide variety of programming available at this City venue.

Despite construction taking place, the Frontier Center will remain open with primary access through North entrances, Stage entrances, and West entrance via High School doors. ADA access will also be available through a ramp at the South entrance. However, changes in access may occur throughout the construction process, and guests are urged to follow onsite signage for their safety.
The latest phase of renovations is being funded through a public/private effort with contributions from Frontier Credit Union, CHC Foundation, generous community members, and the City of Idaho Falls. The city is grateful for this support and appreciates the community's patience and understanding during this time. Staff are committed to minimizing disruptions and ensuring that the facility remains a premier venue for performances and cultural events throughout construction.
With these exciting renovations underway, Idaho Falls residents can look forward to an even better experience at the Frontier Center for the Performing Arts. The City is dedicated to providing a top-notch facility for the community to enjoy and is grateful for the support of its partners in making this vision a reality.
