IDAHO FALLS ~ The City of Idaho Falls Water Division has announced that they will be conducting a water main valve replacement at the intersection of West Broadway Street and Buckboard Lane on Thursday, April 10. According to officials, the work is set to commence at 8 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5 p.m.
During the repair process, residents and businesses in the immediate area will experience a temporary interruption in their water service for approximately four hours. However, the duration of this interruption may vary depending on the conditions encountered during the replacement. The Water Division staff is personally notifying all those who will be impacted by this interruption.

In light of this, businesses and residents are advised to make necessary arrangements to store water for their anticipated needs for the day. Furthermore, once water service is restored in the area, residents may notice some discoloration in their water. It is recommended that they run their cold water until it runs clear before consuming it.
In addition to the water service interruption, traffic on Broadway will also be affected as it will be shifted to one lane in each direction within the immediate work zone. Motorists are urged to reduce their speeds, follow posted traffic control signage, and watch out for construction crews throughout the work zone.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates everyone's patience as they work diligently to replace the water valve as quickly as possible. For any questions or concerns, individuals can contact the Water Division at (208) 612-8471.
