Boise, Idaho ~ Boise, Idaho - In a joint effort to provide property tax relief and support public school facilities, Governor Brad Little joined House and Senate leaders in signing House Bill 304 today.
The bill, which was championed by legislative partners, will offer an additional $100 million in property tax relief to Idahoans. This is on top of the more than $4.6 billion in tax relief that has been delivered to Idahoans in recent years.
Governor Little expressed his pride in being able to provide this relief to Idahoans and commended the efforts of his legislative partners. He stated, "House Bill 304 offers additional support for our public schools while relieving the burden on local property taxpayers. It is truly a win-win for all! This bill is yet another example of Idaho keeping our priorities straight."
The bill directs $50 million to be provided through the public schools facilities fund, which continues the historic investments made through House Bill 521 in 2024. The remaining $50 million will be provided directly through the Homeowner Property Tax Relief account.
Since taking office in 2019, Governor Little and state leaders have given back close to $1 billion in cumulative property tax relief. This brings the total amount of tax relief provided by Idaho state leaders to $4.6 billion.

He added, "History has shown that tax cuts strengthen our economy and make Idaho an even more desirable place to live and work."
Governor Little reiterated the importance of providing tax relief to Idahoans, stating, "I've said it before and I will say it again - America wants what Idaho has: safe communities, strong schools, and a bustling economy that offers tremendous opportunities for our people to prosper." He expressed his pride in joining the dedicated leaders of the Idaho House and Senate for the signing of this important bill.
