Boise, Idaho ~ In a unanimous decision, the Idaho House of Representatives voted 70-0 to approve two key priorities of Governor Brad Little's KEEPING PROMISES plan. The plan, which was introduced in January, aims to address the state's growing needs for education and infrastructure while also providing tax relief and maintaining a balanced budget.
The first priority, House Bill 338, will allocate an additional $50 million towards updating facilities in rural public schools. This funding will help improve the learning environment for students in these areas.
The second priority, House Bill 25, will provide approximately $1 billion for critical transportation projects over the next three years. This funding will be obtained through bonding off the state's strong credit rating.

Governor Little expressed his appreciation for the unanimous support from the House and his partners in the Legislature. He stated that Idaho's success has caught the attention of other states and that they want to emulate what Idaho is doing.
He also emphasized that prioritizing education and infrastructure while delivering tax relief and maintaining a balanced budget is crucial for the state's continued growth and success. The Governor commended his colleagues for keeping these priorities at the forefront for the citizens they serve.
With these two bills now cleared by the House, they will move on to be considered by the Senate before potentially being signed into law by Governor Little.
